THE BEACH IS BACK - NEW AND IMPROVED!
E17's favourite beach, formerly known as Walthamstow On Sea, has had a revamp for 2026. Big Penny Beach club has had a facelift with a new retro aesthetic - think Balaeric meets Blackhorse Road with sand, cabanas, beach bars and more.
New for 2026 - a Gelateria featuring 12 premium ice creams from our friends at Hackney Gelato. Plus a spritz bar courtesy of Aperol, Camden Town Brewery pints on tap, frozen cocktails, fish & chips, special BBQ days and more.
Designed for all ages and fun for everyone, we'll have pop-up volleyball, a Lifeguard hut with DJs and special events across the summer.

FAQs
Do I have to leave the beach after my slot?
Once your ticketed slot has finished you need to leave the beach. If you wish to stay please purchase another ticket from the beach front of house team. If you arrive late for your session you will still need to leave at the allotted time on your ticket.
Is there food and drink at Big Penny Beach Club?
Yes! We will have fish & chips for sale, Big Penny Social’s seasonal menu and look out for special BBQ days throughout the summer. New for 2026, Hackney Gelato will be installing a Gelateria with 12 flavours to choose from.
Can I hire Big Penny Beach Club for birthdays and private hires?
Absolutely. Big Penny Beach Club is perfect for kid’s birthdays, big kid’s birthdays, office parties, brand activations and more. For more info get in touch with our friendly Private Hire team.
Is there a private area I can sit in, like the beach huts previously?
Yep, you can hire a cabana for a private shaded area for up to 8 people. To do this, please contact us and we’ll book you in for an additional cost of £10.
Can I bring my own food and drink onto the beach?
All other food and drinks consumed at Big Penny Social must be purchased from us. We do not allow external food and drinks, whether for kids or adults.
Can I smoke or vape on the beach?
No smoking or vaping is permitted on the beach.
Can I bring my dog?
No dogs are allowed on the beach. The rest of the venue is dog-friendly.
Can I exchange or request a refund on my tickets?
We're happy to refund your ticket up to 7 days before arrival, after this we'll try and move you to another date that works for you where possible. Please email us to request this.
What happens if there's rain or bad weather?
We all know that in the British summer the sun isn't always shining. A bit of drizzle won't stop us, but if it's a complete wash out we'll contact you and move your booking to another date.
