CURLING
Something we have always been keen to address at Big Penny Social is the lack of first-class winter sports provision. We’ve heard you, and we are thrilled to announce our inaugural season of winter curling!
Like us, you’ve probably been weirdly mesmerised by the elegant arc of a curling stone whilst watching the Winter Olympics. Well now it’s your turn to dial up your inner-Muirhead and shine.
Join us from Friday the 22nd of November in our heated curling emporium (marquee), as we celebrate the best of the Christmas spirit by getting incredibly unnecessarily competitive after one too many mulled wines or boozy hot chocolates (available at the bar, obviously).
This is ice-free curling, you need no previous experience whatsoever, and you can even bring your kids.

FAQs
How many people can play per lane?
Each curling lane can host between two and eight players!
Can children go curling?
Yes! Our curling lanes are suitable for children. We recommend children are 5+ years old and are supervised at all times. Please note that the venue is child friendly until 7pm.
Are your winter garden and curling lanes heated?
Absolutely!
Why is there no ice?
Ice free curling is a safer and easier way to enjoy curling. It also reduces the set up and turn around times required which means more time to enjoy going head to head with your opponents!
Can we order drinks and food to our curling lane?
Drinks and bar snacks will be available to order via our team members or through QR codes on tables at the lane. Food isn't available to be ordered to the lanes but why not book a table before or after your session to enjoy our festive menu!
Can we extend our session?
If there is availability immediately after your session ends then of course, re-matches are encouraged! Please speak to one of our hosts who will be able to arrange extending your booking.
What are the curling opening times?

Friday - Saturday: 12pm - 10pm
