‘The new Indie Disco for indie kids and their kids’

Our debut event was a resounding success with just under 600 of you packing out Big Penny, dancing to a DJ set from Mystery Jets on the hottest day of the year! Huge thanks for bringing the energy, your love for the indie disco knows no bounds!

Next up at Young Love Club (the November edition) our guest DJ is the 00s London indie legend, Laura Elvis (of the High Fives: Club NME / Frog) alongside resident DJs, The Grady Bros (Barfly/ BOSH! / Guilty Pleasures / Zig A Zig Ah and more).
The lowdown..

After spending years squeezing into the skinniest of jeans, running clubs across Shoreditch and Camden, now, nicely settled into middle aged-hood, we noticed a wasteland.

Hundreds of former indie kids wandering round the Saturday morning farmers markets: flat white in hand, kids in tow, wondering: is this it?

But what was missing?

We miss American Apparel hoodies, we yearn for sticky dancefloors and dancing to the coolest music from Yo! Majesty or Hadouken! or track or straight up bangers from The Walkmen, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys and Klaxons.

We are bringing these days back. Just the stickiness might be from apple juice or baby sick.

Welcome to Young Love Club, a day disco where we relive our indie heyday with our kids. No more parties till 4am, we’re home in time for fish fingers and Saturday Night Takeaway.

We will introduce the kids to our love for the indie music scene when we were younger: our Young Love.

Set in the surrounds of Big Penny, the venue has it all - eat a Sunday roast in the main hall and work it all off with a boogie at Young Love.

There’s a glitter face paint stall and a host of fun props for the kids to play along with while they dance!

We will turn Big Penny into a haven for indie disco nostalgia and make sure there’s loads of fun for the kids along the way too with facepainters and more activities tbc.

Expect super special guests along the way for this family day disco.
