WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an exceptional Assistant General Manager to join our team. You will be driving the bar side of the business, curating our range of drinks, cocktails and beer across all outlets including the bar in our next exciting project opening Spring 2025. We want you to lead the team in creating a fun, engaging evening atmosphere that encourages extended guest stays
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Bar Operations Management
- Oversee daily bar operations and performance
- Develop and implement bar service standards
- Create and update cocktail and beverage menus
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Manage bar inventory, stock control, and ordering together with the Back of House Manager
Staff Leadership and Development
- Recruit, train, and develop bar staff
- Design and implement ongoing training programs
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching
- Create efficient staff schedules
- Cultivate a positive, motivated team culture
Financial Management
- Monitor and analyse bar revenue and profitability
- Develop strategies to increase bar sales
- Submit timely payroll information to Finance Team
- Maintain FOH staff budgets as a percentage of turnover
- Collaborate with General Manager on delivering budgets, margins and targets
- Ensure EPOS systems are fully functional and backed up
Guest Experience
- Create a enthusiastic, engaging bar environment
- Deliver exceptional guest experience
- Monitor and adjust ambiance throughout service to maximize guest experience and sales
- Transform venue energy from day to evening service
Compliance and Safety
- Implement responsible serving practices
- Uphold Health & Safety standards during operating hours
- Ensure completion of daily/weekly/monthly checklists
- Maintain venue cleanliness during operating hours
- Monitor incident logbook and notify GM/MD of serious incidents

- All Bar services running amazingly well, the venue overall running smoothly and looking fabulous
- Guest experiences second to none and staff morale high
- Continue Increasing profitability across all sites
- Having great selection across cocktails, beer and wines available always
- Delivering seasonal cocktail changes including staff training
DESIRED BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of bar management experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Advanced bar operations and mixology knowledge

THE PACKAGE
A competitive package is on offer for the right candidate with an annual salary up to £42,500 dependant on experience, plus pension contributions as well as a discretionary annual bonus, 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays, enhanced parental leave and a wide variety of diverse community events you can get involved with every day
WORKING HOURS
Standard hours 45 hours weekly on a five-day working schedule including evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
