BASEMENT ORCHESTRA: OVERTURES FROM THE UNDEAD
Sunday October 27 2024 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
FROM £7
Ever been at a Halloween party, decked out like a skeleton and admiring pumpkin art but thought, this could use a bit more… orchestra??
Basement Orchestra has got you covered, with a programme of music most haunting, both classical and modern, in the perfect celebration of All Hallows’ Eve.
Expect menacing sounds, from Mussorgsky’s diabolical tone poem, ‘Night on the Bare Mountain’ to Saint-Saëns’ iconically creepy ‘Danse Macabre’, as well as unearthly music from more recent years.
About Basement Orchestra
Founded in 2012, Basement Orchestra is now a 50-piece musical behemoth. In that time, they have brought our come-as-you-are vibe to a variety of unusual spaces, including an abandoned telecoms office-block, the iconic Rough Trade Record Stores, and the even more iconic Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. They have enjoyed residencies at well-loved venues across London, including the Arcola Theatre and the Clapham Grand, brought Sibelius to Secret Cinema and entertained tripped-out revellers in the way they least expected at Secret Garden Party and Mighty Hoopla.
