WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an open, fun and engaging Head Host to lead the dining experience at Big Penny social. Your primary role is to ensure that the dining experience is smooth and meets the Big Penny standards. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the guest experience through the successful management of the Front Desk and bookings management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- The Head Host will be responsible for ensuring a fantastic guest experience from first introduction to the venue, all the way through to when they leave the venue. Greeting guests warmly as they arrive, presenting menus/specials/pre-orders and explanation of how the venue runs (ordering etc) is key. You are to be knowledgeable about the menu, daily specials, promotions and all upcoming events to be able to educate our guests at all times.
- Having a positive presence on the floor throughout the day to identify and solve challenges that might arise with bookings, supporting and monitoring the Host team. You are to be proactive to prevent challenges from occurring in the future.
- Ensuring speedy and efficient service with a friendly attitude.
- Ensuring we maximise space/spend with allocation of bookings.
- Monitor there are at any given time the appropriate number Host team members available.
- Host team running amazingly well, the venue overall running smoothly, looking clean and tidy and guests are attended to and communicated with.
- Guest experience and ambiance second to none and staff morale high.
- Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any requests or complaints.
- People Management of the Host team reporting to you.

EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCES
- Prior experience in a senior Host role and a large service venue
- Good teamwork skills and ability to motivate others
- Fantastic service skills
- Results driven
- A drive to lead & manage people effectively to foster motivation and achievement of results
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Proactive with lots of initiative
- A positive attitude
Flexible hours across a seven-day period. Due to requirements of this role shifts are more often Wednesday – Sunday. The role will require to cover hours outside of the standard on an ad-hoc basis.
